The American Auditory Society
The American Auditory Society aims to increase knowledge and understanding of the ear, hearing and balance; preventions of these disorders; and habilitation and rehabilitation of individuals with hearing and balance dysfunction.


Academy of Doctors of Audiology
The Academy of Doctors of Audiology provides valuable resources to the private practitioner in audiology and to other audiology professionals who have responsibility for the concerns of quality patient care and business operation. Fostering an international community of audiologists and prospective audiologists through its conventions, forum communities, and student mentor program, ADA strives to be the leader in professional development, high ethical standards, career enhancement, practice improvement, and student outreach.

American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
A professional and scientific organization for speech-language pathologists and audiologists concerned with communication disorders. It provides informational materials and a toll-free HELPLINE number for consumers to inquire about speech, language, or hearing problems. Also provides referrals to audiologists and speech-language pathologists in the United States


American Tinnitus Association
The ATA is the only national organization committed to tinnitus awareness, prevention, treatment and research.


The Better Hearing Institute (BHI)
The BHI is a not-for-profit corporation that educates the public about the neglected problem of hearing loss and what can be done about it. Founded in 1973, they are working to:

Erase the stigma and end the embarrassment that prevents millions of people from seeking help for hearing loss.
Show the negative consequences of untreated hearing loss for millions of Americans.
Promote treatment and demonstrate that this is a national problem that can be solved.


Healthy Hearing
Contains news, information and resources for those interested in hearing, causes and treatment of hearing loss, as well as hearing amplification systems. Healthy Hearing also provides a platform for information exchange and support between those faced with diseases of the ear and the challenges of hearing impairment.

This web site was established to increase public awareness of hearing impairment. It covers many issues issue concerning hearing impairment including practical information for hearing-impaired people, prevention if hearing loss, information for relatives and colleagues of hearing impaired people, statistics about hearing loss and consequences of hearing loss.


Hearing Education and Awareness for Rockers- H.E.A.R.
Educates the public about the real dangers of hearing loss resulting from repeated exposure to excessive noise levels. Offers information about hearing protection, hearing aids, assistive listening devices ear monitor systems, testing and other information about hearing loss and tinnitus.


Hearing Loss Association of America (formerly Self Help for Hard of Hearing People) Promotes awareness and information about hearing loss, communication, assistive devices, and alternative communication skills through publications, exhibits, and presentations.


House Ear Institute
The House Ear Institute is dedicated to advancing hearing science through research and education to improve quality of life. Scientist explore the causes of auditory disorders on the cellular and molecular level and refine the development and application of diagnostic devices, auditory implants and hearing aids.
